The technical mastery of Abercrombie (guitar), Jan Hammer (keyboards) and Jack DeJohnette (drums) delivered the stylish fusion of Timeless, that ranged from the frantic and suspenseful "Lungs", the romantic sonata "Love Song", the twitchy "Red and Orange", the Latin guitar and sentimental piano of "Remembering", although arguably their masterpiece came with the slowly unraveling melodic intrigue of the 12-minute "Timeless".
It was released in 1975 by ECM Records.
