still got my old retail disc of this game, would like to get it in one of my digital library's so when the disc rot sets in i can still dust off this old classic and play itIn all seriousness, does anyone, in any way, know what the scoop is on the re-furb of this game? Hexen II on GOG? It is a gaping hole in GOG's roster of games.
Otherwise I must be going insane.I really did not enjoy it, it also differed so much from the series of both Heretic and Hexen games.I don't see any of those games in GOG myself.
Hand-picking the best in gaming. been looking for so long. While progressive, this was a controversial design decision among fans of the original title, a well-known first-person shooter built on the Doom engine. Due to the needed realism of showing a live humanoid, you're just no longer as maneuverable as in DOOM/Heretic. <br />Rune, and Gothic are both faithful to the old school formula as is Heretic II. Please release. Adding the ability to switch temporarily to a first-person view to scan the area would have helped. Only $.99 a minute in the US, $1.49 in Canada. Please GoG!
Download the best games on Windows & Mac. A vast selection of titles, DRM-free, with free goodies, and lots of pure customer love. Make it so!Would love to play these games! Without any game studio's salvation of rerelease, I think it's doomed.Well... got it running on Windows 10. And if I'm willing to play that chugging mess of a port, I'd gladly pay to play a much cleaner PC version. If these releases go through they should particularily include the Special Editions, (Shadow of The Serpent Riders and Death Knights of The Dark Citadel or whatever the fuck that one was. the first "third person shooter" I got to play. Also funny (who doesn't like it when that trial beast smacks its head into the pillar and cause the bridge to collapse on itself?
would definitely buy it.
Combining your offensive and defensive abilities is the key to success. The animation is rich and detailed, from the little things like Corvus brushing away flies to the creepy insect-like movements of the T'Chekrik. It's a sequel that follows Corvus' adventures after the events of the previous games, and it plays very different from them too.Yes, but the HeXen 2 expansion, Portal of Preavus isn't, probably because ID had nothing to do with it. Never completed it. Day one purchase for me.Heretic II belongs on Good Old Games without a doubt!! It's an actual sequel to Heretic (same player character, same world), but there are many differences.
If you like the idea of a third-person Parkour game full of flying kicks, you'll have fun with it.I just rechecked and they're not there. I mean that would be easy to fuck up in any classic game, but in this particular case I didn't really fuck up, and couldn't find any supplies or restart with more ammo...I think the better question is "Why isn't everyone else naked"?I concur with the others, it is definitely a good game that did not get the recognition it deserved. It's more like a sort of Tomb Raider, but with a lot more of pole-vaulting and kicking people in the face with both feet.
